 When
you volunteer at Kateri Residence, you'll enrich your life while
bringing joy to others. Volunteers work directly with residents
or assist professional staff to achieve Kateri's mission of providing
loving care to all residents. Our residents treasure the companionship
of people of all ages, abilities and talents. Volunteers at Kateri
work with the residents to brighten their days. They provide one-to-one
companionship for those who have no family and few, if any, visitors.
In the Recreation Department, volunteers assist
with residents' daily leisure time activities, including our Resident
Computer Resource Center. Our Pastoral Care Department welcomes
volunteers who can serve in various capacities to meet the spiritual
needs of our residents. We also offer health careers experience
in many departments for adults and high school students. People
with pets enjoy participating in our Pet Therapy program. These
and many other opportunities await you at Kateri. A little of
your time each week can make a lasting difference in our residents'
lives. We offer flexibility to our volunteers to select the times
that best meet their needs.
We welcome groups of all sizes, ages and affiliations,
individuals who are at least 15 years of age, and families. Corporate
organizations, both large and small, work with us on one-time
and ongoing projects, and we can tailor a special program to suit
your group's needs.
