At Kateri Residence we are dedicated to providing
a person centered environment which optimizes dignity, respect
and resident choice. As a Joint
Commission accredited organization we provide the highest
quality skilled nursing care by some of the best trained professional
staff in our homelike and inviting environment. Our primary goal
is to treat our residents as individuals and to support their
highest level of functioning.
Upon admission each resident receives a comprehensive
assessment to determine their individual plan of care. The resident's
primary physician - experienced in the care of elders - leads
a multidisciplinary team which includes licensed nurses, therapists,
social workers and dietitians. A special Wound Management Program
under the direction of a Nurse Practitioner certified in Enteralstoma
therapy is also available. Our clinical team along with the resident
and their family establish goals for achieving and maintaining
maximum independence. Every residentís progress is reviewed
regularly.
We have a special community for those living with
Alzheimer's and cognitive impairments, as well as Hospice and
Palliative Care programs. Our interdisciplinary team as well as
the Pastoral Care
Department responds to our residentís recreational,
psychosocial and spiritual needs.
Our Recreation
Therapy Department offers programs that stimulate the mind,
body and spirit. Many of our programs are held in our beautiful
glass-enclosed Solarium encouraging residents and visitors to
enjoy an outdoor-like environment throughout the year.
Our Food
Service Department ensures that the dining experience for
our residents is enhanced by a wide variety of food related activities.
