Pastoral Care Department
Although Kateri Residence is a Catholic sponsored
nursing home we admit residents of all religious faiths and denominations
and endeavor to meet their spiritual needs. To meet these needs
the Pastoral Care staff offers spiritual support, pastoral counseling
and prayer in a manner that is respectful of our residents' individual
beliefs. The Pastoral Care staff is able to arrange for pastoral
visits from Priests, Ministers or Rabbis according to the residentís
religious preference.
Mass is offered, daily, Monday thru Friday, and
on Sundays. On every second and fourth Sunday of each month, an
additional Mass is offered in Spanish.
Protestant services are offered on the first three
Saturdays of the month. Also, a Baptist Minister is available
every Thursday to visit and offer prayer to our Protestant residents.
A Rabbi offers Jewish service every Friday. Also,
the following Jewish Holy Days are celebrated with a Rabbi; Rosh
Hashanah, Succoth, Chanukah, Purim, Passover, Shavouth.
